Wona & Charlie's wide-ranging art practice spans sculpture, painting, relief, sound, photography, and video. Inspired by patterns and textures drawn from the world around them, their unique and immersive installations experiment with materiality and technology.

For their major new exhibition at Gippsland Art Gallery, Wona and Charlie tap into our primitive need to find connection with the natural world.

The duo’s intuitive approach to mark marking and form will be applied to new works characterised through abstraction, distortion and repetition. Grounded in observation and documentation of the world around them, their practice explores human experience in both natural landscapes and the built environment.
