Yes. Proposals are welcome at any time, noting that Gallery spaces are in very high demand and that we are not able to accommodate every exhibition proposal. Please refer to the Exhibition Proposals page for further information.
Yes! Potential artworks will be assessed by the extent to which they align with our Collection Policy, and may need to be presented to an internal Gallery committee prior to being accepted. The Gallery also accepts donations through the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program, which may provide a tax incentive to donors. For more information visit the Cultural Gifts website.
The Gallery collects a wide range of artworks, with a focus on artworks that align with the theme ‘Gippsland and the natural environment’.
Every year the Gallery hosts around twenty exhibitions of local, national and international significance, in addition to ongoing and evolving displays of the permanent collection. The Gallery displays a wide range of artworks, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramic, printmaking, woodwork, textile, glass, and works on paper, spanning historical through to contemporary. With six exhibition spaces, there is always a wide variety of things to see.
